At Orofacial Pain Associates, we want to make the entire process of treating your condition easy and stress-free, so below, you’ll find some helpful information on what to expect at your first visit. Your First Visit

Your experience as a new patient begins even before you arrive at our office. Once your appointment is scheduled, we’ll ask you to complete and return a detailed patient history form. This allows us to gain a preliminary understanding of your symptoms and helps streamline your in-office visit. Your responses are invaluable to the doctor, who will review them thoroughly in preparation for your evaluation.

During your visit, you’ll receive ample one-on-one time with the doctor, who will conduct a comprehensive assessment to identify the source of your pain. Before you leave, we’ll clearly explain our findings, discuss your treatment options tailored to your needs.

Getting Started with Your Patient Portal

When you schedule your first visit with Orofacial Pain Associates, we’ll send you a secure link to set up your Patient Portal account. Once you’re logged in, you’ll find a few forms to complete—like your medical history, symptom questionnaire, and treatment consent forms. These help your doctor get to know you and your concerns before your visit, so it’s important to fill them out before your appointment.

After your first visit, your Patient Portal will be your go-to place for: Reviewing visit summaries, Requesting prescription refills or message our team with any questions.

Although we are not in-network with any insurance company and are not a medicare provider, our goal is to assist you in receiving the maximum benefits available under your policy. At OPA, we have insurance professionals to assist you, help you and answer any questions.
